The Lord has warned us to stay on guard at all times for a reason. The devil is always on the move, and you must be intentional about standing in the victory of Christ.
When you are awake, you will notice that complacency is creeping in, disinterest in the things of God is creeping in, lust is attempting to grab hold of you, or a person is obviously sent by the devil, and you will rise up and deal with them.
That’s why we have the Holy Spirit. He rises up through us and nullifies Satan’s attacks on us. We must therefore not be sleeping so that we do not miss these signs nor miss the Spirit when He rises in us.
